Analysis of Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Accessions Genetic Variability Related to Yield and Its Components

This experiment was conducted to study the variability parameters of forty rice genotypes evaluate genetic i.e., Genotypic coefficient (GVC), Phenotypic (PVC), Heritability (H) and mean percent Genetic advance (MGA) for nine different yield yield-contributing traits at Agriculture Research Farm, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi during Kharif-2018. The data were collected attributing subjected alpha lattice design analyzed in R-software. PCV magnitude found slightly higher than GCV indicating that this trait is less influenced by environmental factors. highest are (37.70 % 38.27% respectively) followed number tillers per plant effective (GCV: 19.47%, PCV: 21.04%) height 14.99, 16.40). high heritability (>70%) coupled with (>20%) recorded days fifty flowering, maturity, height, tillers, panicle length, spikelet fertility, test weight, grain harvest index simple selection will be improvement.
